The Pentwater Village Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 6:05 P.M. at Park Place Meeting Center, 310 N. Rush St., Pentwater, Michigan, to receive public comments on the request to rezone 118 E. Lake Rd., Parcel ID No. 64-044-600-133-00 from C-3, Central Business District to R-2, Single Family Residential.
The property owner of 118 E. Lake Rd., a.k.a. Property ID No. 64-044-600-133-00 has filed an application with The Village of Pentwater to change the Zoning District Designation of the property from C-3, Central Business District to R-2, Single Family Residential. The property is located on the north side of Lake Rd., west of Bean St., Official Map Plat C Village of Pentwater COM 33 FT S & 165 FT W OF N 1/4 PST SEC 23, S 132 FT FOR POB TH S 132 FT, W 66 FT, N 132 FT E 66 FT TO POB.

The Pentwater Lake Improvement Board will hold a meeting on Monday, May 6th at 4pm at Park Place Meeting Center.

Please refrain from putting brush and sticks in the leaf piles, they clog and cause damage to the machine. Damaged and down machines will cause a slow down during leaf pickup.
Please put leaf piles on the edge of the pavement, off of the roadway. Leaf piles should be wind rowed and no wider than four feet. Also refrain from piling the leaves near mailboxes, street signs and power poles as the machines lack the capability of reaching in these areas. Please avoid piling leaves in front of storm drains, fire hydrants or block utility accesses.
Any piles will sticks, brush, or wider than four feet will not be picked up.
If you have any leaves or yard clippings before or beyond the scheduled cleanup dates they can be dropped off at the Pentwater Township Transfer Station located behind the Dollar General store just off of Monroe Road. The Village of Pentwater is seeking to fill two part-time marina attendants.
The positions begin on April 29th and ends on October 15th.
The Applicants should be comfortable working on computers.
Duties include cleaning, assisting boaters in docking boats, and doing general lawn work.
Marina attendants are required to be able to lift heavy items.

Please be advised that there will be a road closure at the intersection of Longbridge Rd. and Monroe Rd. beginning Monday, April 15th.
During this time, traffic will be restricted and alternative routes will need to be taken.
This closure has been initiated by DTE Energy as part of the gas line project. The project is expected to last approximately 4 week and is schedule to be finished before Memorial Weekend.
We apologize for any inconvenience they may cause and appreciate your cooperation during this necessary infrastructure improvement.
Emergency Services are aware and preparing for the road closure.

Pentwater Police Department is accepting applications for Public Safety Officers. PSO Officers fill a variety of public service roles, including but not limited to; parking enforcement, traffic control at special events, marina attendant, and code enforcement.
The opportunity to be a Public Safety Officer is an excellent way to explore a carrier in law enforcement.
Successful applicants should be at least 18 years old, have a valid Michigan Drivers License (a cycle endorsement is preferred), and have no criminal history. Applicant must submit to a background investigation.
Starting pay is $15 an hour, with a flexible work schedule. Some weekends required. Applicants will receive 24 hours of job-related training.
