Appointed by the Village Council, the Village Manager is the chief administrative officer of the Village. He is responsible to the Village Council for efficient administration of all affairs of the village, and exercises management supervision over all departments and over all public property belonging to the Village. He is also responsible for preparation, presentation and administration of the Village Budget.
Chris Brown comes to us from Mackinaw City, where he was previously the chief engineer and operations manager at Dockside Development. Chris has spent many years in private and government sectors including serving as the Cheboygan County Board of Commissioners chair and on the Cheboygan County Zoning Board of Appeals.
The Village Manager performs many functions and duties daily, among them to evaluate the needs of the community and advocate new goals and objectives to be taken to the Village Council for consideration.
