The Village of Pentwater is the destination of beautiful waters, wonderful people, great businesses and an assortment of parks. The North End Park is one of many parks in our area and is now one of the major projects under way for the Village. Renovations are being made in multiple phases. Phase One of the project includes adult workout equipment, a children's play area and handicap accessible equipment. The equipment posted below has been purchased and will be installed at the end of May. Along with the equipment, work on the park will continue with pickleball courts being next on the agenda.
We have recently received grants from Sinclair Recreation in the amount of $22,532.39 and $3,000 from the Oceana Youth Fund and the Bessie E. and Ethan Allan Gray Health Fund through the Oceana County Community Foundation. We have also received a wonderful donation of $2,500 from the Pentwater Service Club. We are genuinely thankful for the donations that we have received so far and are grateful to our community members for their support.
We hope to renovate and expand the North End Park into something truly special for our community. Our community support throughout the years has been gracious and allows us to continue to look forward to the future of Pentwater.
The Village Council has created a donation platform for the North End Park to help promote healthy living within our community. Your donations have helped us reach some of our goals and we look forward to accomplishing more in the very near future. All the drains in your home lead to somewhere, and unless you have a septic tank, the sewer lines lead out to the sewer main that services the Village. The sewer main is at the end of your property, under the street in most cases. What homeowners don't realize is that they are responsible for any damage suffered by the sewer line, all the way up to the sewer main.
In 2001 the State of Michigan enacted Public Act 222 (MCL 691.1416 seq.) to provide a statutory exception to government immunity for sanitary sewer backups on real property.
