Village Services > Service Pages > Brush and Leaves Pickup and Dropoff
Among the duties of the Department of Public Works is the spring and fall leaf collection and curbside brush removal. During this time the residents are asked to put leaves of the edge of the roadside off of the roadway for pickup.
Spring and Fall Leaf Collection and Curbside Brush Removal will take place during the following dates during the 2024 season, weather permitting. A Leaf Collection Zones Map can be viewed in the picture gallery to the right or at the link on the bottom of the page.
Spring Collection - April 22nd until TBD
Fall Collection - Dates to be Determined
Please refrain from putting brush and sticks in the leaf piles, they clog and cause damage to the machine. Damaged and down machines will cause a slow down during leaf pickup.
Please put leaf piles on the edge of the pavement, off of the roadway. Leaf piles should be wind rowed and no wider than four feet. Also refrain from piling the leaves near mailboxes, street signs and power poles as the machines lack the capability of reaching in these areas. Please avoid piling leaves in front of storm drains, fire hydrants or block utility accesses.
If you have any leaves or yard clippings before or beyond the scheduled cleanup dates they can be dropped off at the Pentwater Township Transfer Station located behind the Dollar General store just off of Monroe Road. For more information regarding the Transfer Station, please visit the Pentwater Township Transfer Station page.
